The Ellis Left Hand Coupler is run above the pump to enable easy retrieval of the rod string. Ellis Left Hand Coupler is  used with steel sucker rods to  retrieve the rod string in case of a stuck pump    preventing costly fishing jobs. The rod string is turned to the right while engaging the clutch on the pump to disconnect the Left Hand Coupler.

Ellis Left Hand Coupler is assembled and torqued to API 11B specification at the manufacturing facility making it ready to use immediately.
