The Ellis Heavy Duty On-Off Tool gives the ability to connect and disconnect the sucker rod string at a predetermined location. This eliminates the need for pulling a wet tubing string when the pump is stuck. It also gives the ability to run an oversized tubing pump without replacing the entire tubing string. To unlatch the tool make a 1/4 turn to the right while engaging the clutch on the pump.

High resilient spring design provides the right amount of resistance to easily latch and unlatch the tool while preventing premature release.

The Ellis Heavy Duty On-Off Tool is available in a variety of high strength corrosion resistant materials. Proprietary heat treatment on 4140 alloy steel eliminates residual stresses and gives an extremely high endurance limit for continuous cyclic loading.

High quality machining processes adopted at Ellis Manufacturing allows to maintain extremely close tolerances and produce components with smooth surface finished and chatter free threads.
